premier groupe de 24 artisans et artisanes de la construction form\u00e9s dans le cadre du projet \u00ab\u00a0Action pour l\u2019habitat\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 Lavial, dans le sud-est d\u2019Ha\u00efti. Avec sa famille, elle vit dans une maison que s\u00e9isme et cyclone ont gravement endommag\u00e9e. Mais cette situation difficile touche \u00e0 sa fin\u00a0: Z\u00e9line a commenc\u00e9 la construction de sa nouvelle maison.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En 2017, Z\u00e9line a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 son premier chantier-\u00e9cole en tant que femme artisane &#8211; un m\u00e9tier traditionnellement r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux hommes -, avec beaucoup d\u2019enthousiasme, mais aussi un peu d\u2019appr\u00e9hension. Dans une r\u00e9gion durement touch\u00e9e par le ch\u00f4mage, o\u00f9 il n\u2019est pas facile, particuli\u00e8rement pour une femme, de trouver une activit\u00e9 r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9e, c\u2019est ainsi que l\u2019aventure d\u2019un nouveau m\u00e9tier a commenc\u00e9 pour elle.<\/p>\n<p>Pour mieux comprendre la situation de Z\u00e9line, il faut la suivre \u00e0 travers les petits sentiers qui traversent les montagnes, entre les manguiers, les arbres \u00e0 pain et autres v\u00e9g\u00e9tations de la zone. Apr\u00e8s une longue marche, une petite maison faite de bric et de broc pointe enfin. \u00ab Avant, je vivais dans cette maison des ann\u00e9es 60, celle de mes parents d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9s. J\u00b4y vivais avec mon mari, mes trois enfants et l\u00b4un de mes fr\u00e8res aveugle ; les autres vivent \u00e0 Port-au-Prince. \u00bb Une situation de cohabitation tr\u00e8s courante \u00e0 Elle pr\u00e9parait le d\u00eener aupr\u00e8s de son fils de deux ans. Soudain, la terre s\u2019est mise \u00e0 trembler. Z\u00e9line se pr\u00e9cipite alors \u00e0 l\u00b4int\u00e9rieur car son b\u00e9b\u00e9 de trois mois dormait dans la chambre. \u00ab Quand je suis entr\u00e9e, la moiti\u00e9 du mur \u00e9tait tomb\u00e9 sur le lit o\u00f9 le b\u00e9b\u00e9 dormait \u00bb, se souvient-elle en nous montrant le mur en ruines. \u00ab J\u00b4ai vite retir\u00e9 les d\u00e9bris. Je ne peux pas le croire ! Mon beau-p\u00e8re nous a offert un terrain \u00e0 mon mari et moi pour que nous puissions y habiter. \u00bb Un lieu idyllique, au bout d\u2019une cr\u00eate, avec une vue imprenable sur les collines de Lavial. \u00ab Maintenant, j\u2019y construis ma propre maison. Nous sommes cinq artisans \u00e0 y travailler tous les jours. Artisane sur le chantier, Z\u00e9line reste toujours femme au foyer ; pr\u00e9parer les repas, s\u00b4occuper de ses trois enfants, les baigner, faire les devoirs de l\u00b4\u00e9cole, laver le linge, etc. Femme d&#8217;\u00e9nergie et de conviction, elle milite cependant pour une meilleure r\u00e9partition des t\u00e2ches entre hommes et femmes. A La Vall\u00e9e, les femmes-ma\u00e7ons font bouger les lignes. Mais la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9volue lentement&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Avec son casque de chantier, Z\u00e9line d\u00e9gage beaucoup d\u2019assurance. Elle est d\u00e9sormais une \u00ab\u00a0boss\u00a0\u00bb, une artisane professionnelle. \u00ab J\u00b4aime \u00eatre artisane, je suis heureuse de mon travail, et maintenant j\u00b4ai un m\u00e9tier. J\u00b4ai appris beaucoup de choses, alors qu&#8217;au d\u00e9part je pensais ne pas \u00eatre capable de devenir \u00ab\u00a0boss\u00a0\u00bb, mais oui, j\u00b4ai r\u00e9ussi. Depuis que je suis petite, j\u2019ai toujours voulu travailler dans la construction. Maintenant, en plus de ma propre maison, je travaille sur un autre chantier le week-end. Je me sens \u00e0 l\u00b4aise. \u00bb Fi\u00e8re du travail d\u00e9j\u00e0 accompli, Z\u00e9line regarde sa maison en souriant. \u00ab Moi je veux continuer \u00e0 construire des maisons. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s 6 mois de chantier, Z\u00e9line a inaugur\u00e9 sa nouvelle maison en mars 2019.
